A lot of carriers still offer unlimited data plans in europe, also for prepaid sim cards.

I used to pay 20 for unlimited data with no restrictions whatsoever (tethering allowed etc).
That plan still exists but I have downgraded to a 1gb plan for 10 since I noticed that I never get anywhere close to that anyway.

About $210 for 3 iPhone 4s and a dumb phone. We are on the lowest minutes plan and never use them. We have about 4000 rollover minutes at the moment.

if you want a subsidized smartphone at rogers/fido now you have to have voice/data at min $50 so the good old days are gone.

Tre (3)- Sweden
Unlimited text and phone call on the same network
Caller Display
Voicemail
Unlimitied data plan
About 550 sek per month = $80 per month
But the sek is high valued now so it would normally be closer to $65-$70.

How did you get friends and family on the 450 minute plan?
It was a promotion when I signed up for 450 talk, unlimited text, and unlimited data. The data plan was also discounted to $9.99 as part of the promotion.
The plan was $59.99 + $9.99 for the data, but my corporate discount reduced the $59.99 talk and text plan to $44.99.
As a student I do not think I would be or could be spending $100/month for a smartphone.

How in the world did you get unlimited data to be 9.99?!
It was part of a promotion. I receive a $20 discount on my data plan. The rest of the details are in my post above.

I have the same plan and it took multiple calls to Verizon before I got f&f on the 450 plan. I had to escalate to Retentions, but I finally got it. It is not usual though and all the reps are basically trained to say that it is not available on the 450 plan. The promo is over now (ended 1/31/11) so I think it may be too late to make changes.
I am glad I had none of those problems. I signed up a couple days after getting the email and never had a problem.

Before this plan I had another Verizon promotion. 450 anytime minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile on any carrier, and unlimited messaging for $44.99 with my old dumbphone.

I have my iphone4 with AT&T and have the unlimited data plan. My question is if I get my wife an iphone4 and add her to my plan do I lose my unlimited data plan or do I just get her her own data plan and my unlimited stays in tack?

I plan on calling AT&T later today to find out but since I got a call from the office at 4am and am waiting for something to be fixed I figured I would post my question

Each phone has it's individual data plan, so you'll be fine.

That is a good deal (depending on how much if anything you paid for the iPhone)! I can only find iPhone 4 via Tesco at 25 a month for the same (well, 250mins, 5000 texts and 1GB data) and 342 for the phone!

20 per month - Vodafone UK.
  • 900 minutes.
  • Unlimited texts.
  • 500MB of data.
  • Free Voicemail.

I'll be moving to Three soon and going on their One Plan, which for 25 gives:
  • 2000 minutes.
  • 5000 3 to 3 minutes.
  • 5000 texts.
  • Unlimited (Yes-Unlimited!) data.
  • Free Voicemail.

Plus there's 106 cashback, which means that it will actually end up costing me less than my current Vodafone deal!

5 of us are on VZs unlimited talk/text/data plan which averages out with tax and our corporate discount to be ~$88ish/user.
