iTunes wont let me move a song

as the title suggests i have a track in the wrong place in an album.

it is supposed to be track 2, but is in the library as the last track.

i have already gone into right click > get info > and changed the track to "2 of 10" but it still sits there at the bottom. i seem to remember in older iTunes versions you could just drag and drop to rearrange, not so now it seems.


any help out here?!? 🙂

Is the album 1 of 1?

How do you have the window sorted? I keep mine with "Date Added" and changing the number of the track doesn't change its position.

But hitting the "Artist" column header does put the track in its new placement. (iTunes 10.2.1)

I think that you can only drag and drop tracks in playlists(not at my Mac at the moment).
