Thank you for taking steps to have this add removed. No complaints about Macrumors other than this is the most annoying internet ad I've ever seen.

and another one (attached). an ugly new gimmick that is becoming trendy?

We need to know the URL that the ad links to. You don't have to click it, just control-click or right-click to get the address. That's how we track them down.

The Vodafone ad above is still there. It is annoying as hell since it sits right underneath the browser tabs and to avoid it you have to move the cursor around it. Any chance of getting rid of it?

Thanks for letting us know.

Is it exactly the same ad as in the screenshot above, or a similar one? We may need a new screenshot, and we need to have the latest URL it links to.

How long does it take for them to remove them? They're still coming up more than a week later, and I'm tempted to install an ad blocker (though I won't).

Theoretically they should have been removed today. If they are still coming up for you, please post here.

sorry for the trouble,
arn

Are you sure you're seeing ads with the same image and linking to the same URL? We have to remove specific combinations.
