It is pretty neat, but doesn't test anything that has to do with blunt trauma, which is going to be what causes 99.9% of iPad screen damage.

Neat video but I'm not sure how relevant it is to using screen protection or not. Maybe I'm alone in this but I use screen protectors as insurance against scratches and abrasions. Breakage/shattering is not likely to be ameliorated by a screen protector.
