Post FT: have 12" PB + cash, want 15" / 17" PB

Well, i pretty much said it. i am a grad student who loved the mobility of the 12 and now what some better desktop space. never had a problem with the hardware/software. case is in great condition, but not perfect (scratches on bottom, 2 small scratches up close on top). purchased july '04. have orig box and all discs and literature.

stats: HW
-12" 1.33Ghz (bought july 04)
-Superdrive (dvd-r)
-1.25 GB RAM (max)
-80GB HD (max)
-airport xtreme
-bluetooth
-vga/dvi/s-video/rca - mini adapters
-applecare (transferrable)
-keyboard cover: http://www.iskin.com/protouch_PB1.html
-pb case: http://www.goincase.com/prod_laptop/...leeveNylon.php

stats: SW
-MS office '04
-iLife '05
-iWork
-eclectic taste in music (36GB ish)

So, i am pretty poor and honestly my limit is $300ish but i want to be fair so hit me up with an offer if you are seriously thinking smaller is better.

I think you might have a better shot at trying to get a 15" powerbook instead of a 17". You will still get a much bigger display and something that is much closer to a desktop replacement then what you have.

i am sure that you are right. i was just hoping for a pb 17 with a 1ghz. i thought that would be reasonable. but i guess i could entertain some 15" pb offers.

How about just getting an external monitor to plug it into when you have it at the desk? Then you still get the portability if you take it on the road. You could easily get a good 15 or 17 inch lcd for under 300.

I didn't even think of this when I started replying, but I have a 15 inch samsung lcd that I could sell you for 200 shipped.

thanks for the idea though.

I would be interested in buying the PB outright, but if that is not what your looking for, let me know.

Ok. If if ever comes down to that, where you need the money to buy a 17" or 15" and not a trade.. Please aim or PM me, I would be very interested. Thanks!
