When i use my iMac, I notice when ever i have safari open i can here the churning sound like its trying to process. Then when surfing the net safari starts stalling. I pulled up my activity monitor and noticed that Safari is taking up 18.8 CPU and 546 MB of Real memory, The virtual memory says 470. Is this normal for a program like this??? What could I do to speed up surfing the internet.
I have a MAC OS X - iMac. Version 10.6.7 - processor is 2.4 GHZ Intel Core Duo. Memory is 2GC 667 MHZ DDR@ SDRAM
Any help I would appreciate it.
