iPad 2 with Navigon
I have a iPad 2 3G. I brought the iPad without a SIM card as I knew I was going to use my iphone personal hotspot for data usage. Basically, the 3G was for future proof and also if I travel out of the country. I took my iphone SIM card to activate my ipad when first purchased.
I tried to used Navigon this weekend just with the ipad alone without conneting to my personal hotspot and it work great only if I enter an address. However if I only want it to 'show map' like the option on the iphone, I don't see it? Is that feature disable or it is because I do not have a SIM card in the ipad? (btw - I am a canuck and have a 6G data plan on my iphone.) |

If you tap on the map on the opening screen, it takes you to the map view.
