I lost my contacts icon but not my contacts.. how do I get the icon back?

Hey there!

For some mysterious reason, the contacts icon has disappeared from my iPhone4 which surprised me while I was syncing with my macbook. I cant seem to find the contacts folder anywhere on the phone nor iTunes and I tried to reset the folder layout on home screen and the contacts icon is still not there.

Is there a way I can restore the icon on my iPhone4?

I must say its pretty strange to see it disappear like that but there must be a way to restore the icon back. I have backup on iTunes but will that help restore the icon back or not?
