HP 8440p using an Apple Cinema Display
Hello,
I apologize if this question has been asked already, I did a quick search and didn't come up with a lot. I have a client who has an HP 8440p laptop, and she got a hold of I believe a 20" cinema display, and wanted to use it with her laptop. I can't find a model number on it so I'm unsure of what model it is (unless I'm just blind). It has the one cable with the mini displayport, the power for the macbook, and a usb cable, and it has two usb ports in the back. We have a mini displayport to DVI adapter, which I have plugged into the docking station. The 8440 has the stock integrated Intel HD Graphics card in it. I got the adapter all hooked up, and it has power, but the pc doesn't see the display at all. Do I need to install a certain driver to get the graphics card to see it? I feel like I'm missing something very obvious...I haven't dealt much at all with apple peripherals. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you! |
