Safe to use 3rd party AC adaptor on iBook G4?

Hi guys, I just bought an iBook g4 on eBay and it comes with a 3rd party ac adaptor. Is it safe to use it to charge the battery?

I have used a couple of these Macally adapters in the past and they work really well.

I really don't know the brand on mine, but it shouldn't harm the battery right?

Your computer controls the charging of the battery. If it's safe to power the computer, it's safe to charge the battery.

-FWIW, my handle is iThink_ergo_iMac. There seems to be some confusion on this issue.-

Thanks a lot! I was worried the third party adaptor would harm my iBook.

used original were pretty cheap as well... I have both for my PB, the 3rd party replacement is just for standby, just in case the original one fails...
