PowerMac Warranty Question

Would cutting the handles off of a PowerMac G5 void the warranty?

(I know, you're thinking "Why in the world would anyone do that?!?!" because I sure as heck would prefer not have to do it. Unfortunately, otherwise it is too tall to be turned on it's side and rack mounted.)
 
Ask Apple.

One of the main issues I could see is if you have metal splinters that get into the system that damage it or looks like it might have been the cause of the damage.
