We just replaced the glass, digitizer and LCD on my daughters 2nd Gen iPod touch. It worked great for about 6 hours last night and this morning the screen is so dark you can barely read it and only if it's under a bright light or shining a flash light on the screen. It's much worse that 'dim'. Occasionally it will come on and display normally for a few minutes and then go back to almost totally black.
I tried power + home and 'reset all settings'. I also turned the auto-brightness off and made sure the brightness slider was all the way up (right). It did this before we fixed it, but I thought at that time it was because the LCD was bad. At first I thought it might be the light sensor (because it did this before), but even in bright light I don't think they get this dark. What could be the problem? It's never been wet. Surely this brand new LCD isn't bad? Thanks for your help. |
