The days of downloading a new update

Well since apple released OSX , we haven't yet seen an update that was free and we were able to download, I'm talking about a big update like from 10.1 to 10.2 no the little updates we have come to love

Back in the days of OS9 people jumped from 9.1 to 9.2 in an 80mb download will we ever see this again from apple or will they once again revamp the whole system and make up pay

my 2 cents

"big" updates of a robust *NIX OS require ALOT more than 80MB downloads. The bandwidth burden wouldn't be cost effective for Apple.

These days incremental updates are approaching 20+ MB.

I'd rather get big updates on cd rather than sit and download them through the net...where they have a good chance of somehow corrupting along the way...
