Please help guys, I'm a frequent visitor of this forum but only needed to sign up after this happened!

I was playing a game today and was interupted with a message saying space is very low.

I've run disk inventory x and it finds nothing conspicuous.

I'm an absolute novice when it comes to anything advanced with macs/pc's and am really stumped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just the typical system message saying space is very low, please delete some files etc.

Well, I just deleted the two programs I installed today and now it's jumped back up to 16gb. Is this the end of the matter?

Sometimes programs encounter repeated errors, which show up on the system logs and can eventually consume an enormous amount of space. This is an easy check.
