I'm buying a Macbook Air 2009 on craigslist for $500. It's a really good price and I've done business with the seller before so I know it's safe and legit.

I was wondering what problems came with the 2009 Macbook Air, as I'm not sure what rev this is.

Any tips on some things to do before buying?

Here are the specs:

Processor speed: - 2.13 GHz
Processor Type: - Intel, Core 2 Duo (Penryn)

Installed RAM: - 2 GB (2x1GB) onboard
Max. Amount: - 2.0 GB

Hard Drive: - 128 GB, Solid-State

Display Size: - 13.3-inch
Graphics Card: - NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Card Memory: - 256 MB
Max. Resolution: - 1280 x 800

Any information is welcomed, thank you! :)

Typing on one right now. Paid $1700 + tax. Still fast. Zero problems, have Win 7 on a partition, 22" LG monitor, bluetooth keyboard, magic pad. Using it solid since Nov 09.

Thank you for the info! :)

What's the most processor intensive things you've done on it?

I might use it for Photoshop and maybe some light SC2 gaming.

I have a 2009 Macbook Air 1.86/120gb hd (not the ssd) and I'm able to play diablo 3 with all the settings on low, WOW with settings on medium/low. It works fine for xcode programming and parallels as well. Watch for the hinges going bad. I paid $30 on ebay for a new set for mine because I didn't feel like waiting 2 weeks for apple to fix it. Easy swap (make sure you line them up right.)
