neither of these will play natively on the ipod touch. The ipod only plays mpeg4 or H.264 files. You just need to convert them to play on an ipod. Handbrake is a program that can do that for you.

They are not "high resolution and high bitrate." In other words, they should play fine. Another note: SD non-native video files will play fine. For HD videos use mp4 h.264 optimized for mobile.

"Your download expired, try again" So sad to see that hotfile's going down the ******* >.> </s>
anyway, if they're low res and bitrate, which I assume these are then 3rd party video players will have trouble at all. The mkv is probably h264 and AAC 2.0, should mux in to mp4 just fine. Apparently xvid will also work when muxed in to mp4 (as long as no funky parameters are used), however mp3 will need to be converted to AAC. Quote:

AVI and MKV, you can download Oplayer or VLC into your iPod.

High bitrate - High resolution will be sluggish on iPT, and IMO totally useless - not to mention that it unnecessarily eats storage space.
Better off convert them in h264 at an iPhone/iPT setting format, which is pretty easy to do. And believe me, you have enough time from now to July to do that ;-).
