I have an external monitor connected to my 2010 MBP 15", using a DVI -> MiniDP cable. It works fine under OSX.
However on Windows 7 it would not display anything. Nvidia control panel shows that the monitor is detected and settings are correct, but it just won't show anything on screen.
I am fairly certain that it worked when I used a VGA->MiniDP adapter before. I have since then switched to a cable that goes straight from the MiniDP port to the DVI port on the monitor. No adapter is used.
Could it be the problem of the cable itself?
