I've long wanted to have a hack that would enable answering calls by pressing the home button rather than using the slider. And now by chance I have found a Cydia app that does just that. It's CallController and while the info on Cydia doesn't mention the home button trick, when I installed it just to try some of the other neat things it offered, lo and behold the call button answer is there! This has to be one of the best reasons ever for jailbreaking and well worth the $2.99 asking price. And no, I have no connection with the developer - just a satisfied customer.
