I love the iPod shuffle, got one question though
I just returned from apple store with a 1 GB iPod Shuffle. I already have a 20 Gig iPod and wanted shuffle. Well, my question is does the shuffle still use power when you turn it off like the rest of the iPod lineup does?

From what I have seen the answer is no. I have had mine off for over two weeks and just checked the battery and it is still on green. This of course is not a technical answer just my best guess.
