Was/Is the iPod shuffle supposed to cost $129?

If you put your mouse over the http://images.apple.com/home/2005/images/ipodshuffle20050223.jpg image when it is displayed on the main page of http://www.apple.com it shows the ALT text (description text of the image) on the iPod Shuffle and it says iPod Shuffle. 512MB $99, 1GB $129. Though I'm thinking this is more likely user error. See attached image! See what it says [iPod Shuffle. 512MB $99, 1GB $129.]

I don't understand what you mean. The 512MB model is $99 and the 1GB model is $149. I see no error.

The ALT text shows $129 where it should be $149

That's the correct pricing, though, with edu discount.

EDU price is $139, not $129. The alt tag does still say $129, though...no one's changed it as of yet.

Who knows. Haven't apple had other 'typo's' on their site before? Like the g5 powerbook on the powerbook page.
