Cinema Display Help

I recently got a 27" ACD and I love it, but I've got a couple questions I was hoping someone could help me out with.

-How can I get sound from both the display and my iMac at the same time?

-Is there a way to dim the display using the keyboard controls?

any other advice or tips would be appreciated as well

When connected to an iMac:

1. Don't think you can use both (although, you may be able to make an aggregate audio device)
2. I don't think so either.
