is it bad to leave a powerbook rev. d plugged in most of the time? even when the computer is turned off?

i don't want to hurt the battery.

i use it as a desktop.

Nope it's not bad as it will not overcharge the battery. Also, you won't be using the battery when plugged in, so it won't have to keep doing short charges.

My only recommendation is keep it plugged into a decent surge supression power strip.
