Help! Should I get the new MBA (sandy bridge) or the iPad 2,

At the moment I have the original MBA with 64gb and 1.8ghz and a iPad 1 32gb 3G! It my birthday soon so I have to make a decision help! Which one should I go for and why?
 
If you already have the iPad 1, I would get the Sandy Bridge Macbook Air and upgrade to iPad 3 next year which will likely have the retina display, way better camera, maybe even a faster processor, and even yet longer battery life.

I have the exact same devices you have (MBA 1st edition, iPad 1)

I plan to get a laptop this year, then an iPad 3 next year

my advice is just like everyone else on this thread: MBA:apple:
 
How is this a decision?

We're in a Post-PC world my a4se. If you need a computer get the Air.

Also the iPad 2 is 1/2 through it's refresh cycle, so really replacing your iPad now doesn't seem worth it.
