Hi guys,
i Have a 2010 mac pro in my room, and we have cable tv on our home tv (foxtel here in australia) and im wondering how could i get my cinema display, which is connected ot the mac pro, to show cable channels. Would i need an apple tv, or something else?

Note, the cable tv provider has highest resolution is 1080p, and my apple cinema display is 1440p.

Thanks a lot :)

I think you are going in the wrong direction with ATV. It takes the files from your Computer using iTunes and feeds it to your TV and does not feed files from your TV to your computer (unless you are renting a movie off the TV).
