G5 PowerPC won't save files

hi all, I have G5 PowerPC with 2 1tb hd's and recently it has stopped saving files, saying there is not enough free space left, even though there is over 500gb on each. Even newly formatted external HD's give the same message (i've tried 3 in total) and all give the same results. When i select the drive and get info, it shows capacity at "--" and available capacity at "--" Can anyone help??????

Make sure your system clock is set to the right time. It's possible your battery has died. Set the time in preferences to use the internet time service as a work around.
