I bought an album on itunes (on the ipad) -- how do I get it off ipad?

Go to the Music tab under your iPad in iTunes, and uncheck the box that says sync everything. Then you can go in and tell it which albums/artists/etc... you want on the iPad (if anything).

Yes, although you'll still have to pick what music you want on your device using a computer. But you won't have to plug in.
