I have an older macbook, but i've always been into music production. i didn't really have a lot of space to start with, and now theres no way it could hold logic. i have an external hard drive with plenty of space. so will it run from the hard drive?

Thanks:)

I don't think you can install Logic to another drive. You'd have to install it on your boot drive and then move the heavy stuff to the external using symlinks.

Can i get logic on my original drive, then put the expansion things on the external hard drive?

Before installation you can choose where to place the apple loops that take up the most space. The instruments are always installed to the main drive, but can be moved afterwards using symbolic links. Also, be sure to choose only what you need in the install options.
