I would really like to hear some developer's views.
Is this the build that someone recently said was close but not quite?

I'd like to propose a toast to everyone on Tiger.

To friends, Apple, and Tiger

Well, that's alright then.

If it's all true, I am happy to see my scepticism about an April release completely scuppered. Sometimes it's nice to be wrong... but I can't get over the April Fools thing, somehow.

8A420 only had one known issue - it wouldn't boot on 1.33 GHz iBooks with SuperDrives. 8A425 fixed that, then they must've found one other problem before 8A428.

This is great news; I'm just as excited as the day they announced my iMac G5. If tomorrow is the day, I shall be rejoicing.

It still seems sketchy to think that they could have CDs/DVDs burnt, printed, packaged, and shipped by April 15th. That only gives them 2 weeks to get all that done.

Apple likes to unveil new OSes with lots of fanfare and promos. I don't think they'd release it without it being available.

...or have they sped up their production process now?

P.S. Any word on Server?
