Remove username from menubar
Left to Spotlight (right to clock watch) there's the computer username. How can I hide it?

The usual way; just hold the 'cmd' key and drag the menu item want to remove off the menu bar

You can either command-click the items on the menubar to reorganize them or drag them away to remove them, exactly as has been the case since OS 10.0…
Or you could go to System Preferences, click “Users & Groups,” select “Login Options” from the sidebar, click the lock icon to authenticate, and uncheck “Show fast user switching." |

Thank you guys, I couldn't find the preferences and the cmd+drag was a very useful tip I can use in many other applications.
