Split Itunes Media Folder Location

Hey Guys,

I am currently using my MBA as my primary computer and in the past have located my iTunes Media Folder on an external disk. I am now looking to relocate this folder on my MBA. However, I don't want to have everything on my Macintosh HD. Is there a way to split the folder to automaticaly locate Music on the Macintosh HD, and Movies, Podcasts, TV Shows, Apps, and Backups on an External HD?

This is a tricky one. You could try using aliases in the relevant itunes media sub folders.

I'll be following this thread to find out for myself.

There is a new program that came out recently called TuneSpan
http://www.tunespan.com/
Its free and I believe it does what you are looking for.

Appreciate what u did, but id rather use my media rather than fiddling around manually with my media folders. Tunespan sets the route folders to each sub-media type in stone so whenever i drag/download new media into iTunes, it automatically goes into its respective folders. Perfect.
