Is there a way to turn off on-screen controller on emulators for iPad?

I am having some trouble finding emulators through Cydia (aside from Snes9x EX) that not only support bluetooth (such as a Wiimote) but will turn off the on-screen controller once a BT controller is engaged. Am I missing a setting option somewhere?
