I know updating your Ipod will get rid of the jailbreak, but what happens if you update iTunes if you're Ipod Touch is jailbroken?

The dev team always tweets every time a new build of iTunes is released to say if it's safe or not, I've never seen them state that it isn't.

They always tell you never to update your iPod till a new JB is out, but I've never read that you shouldn't update iTunes.
