Air in/air out
Exactly where on a 22 inch iMac does fresh air flow in to the computer and where does hot air blow out of the computer? The only slot I find is behind the upper left corner of the screen. Which is the most critical area to keep fro from dust?

You don't need to worry about it. The iMac has great heat dissipation, and a little bit of dust won't get in the way of that. But to answer your question, there is a hole that kind of looks like a speaker, but is intake. As you noted before, the slot on the top of the computer is exhaust.
See this picture of an old polycarbonate iMac's air intake.

Air still flows in from the bottom side of the iMac where the speaker grill is, it's been that same principle design ever since the iMac G5. No reason to give home boy a thumbs down for his post. The extra vent in the back was added with the first intel iMac, and it's just an extra vent for the hard drive.
