How do you disable the press and hold accented character picker?

Howdy,

Just noticed a feature in Lion that i can't figure out how to disable and need your help!

When you press and hold down a key, it gives you the option of picking an accented character instead of just letting you type, for example 'lolsssssss' without having to release and press 's' again. Call my fingers lazy

Anyone have a fix?

Thank you! but is there a way to do it without using Terminal commands? like an option in System Preferences that i may be missing?

just in case i need to turn it back on, i don't want to be messing around in Terminal again
