I just upgraded to Lion and it's been ("Upgrading iCal calendars...") for over 30 hours now. It appears to be stuck at approx 75%. The progress bar has not changed in 20 hours, but I do see CPU Time increasing, the CPU% changing and the # of threads changing (from 6 to 7 to 6, etc.).

  1. How can I tell if it's really doing something?
  2. What happens if I FORCE it out or reboot?
  3. How long is too long to leave it be?

I forced it out after over 50 hours.
I restarted iCal and no more message, but how can I tell if it completed the conversion it wanted to do?

I'd check to make all your calendar info is in tact.

Eyeballing, it all looks good. I also synced my BlackBerry and iTouch and they didn't see anything missing, so I assume it's all there.
