Can a gift card for the app store bought in New Zealand be redeemed in the US or UK?

I need to know. I plan on doing a giveaway on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/iAmATechGeek

I'm in New Zealand, and the winners are in the UK and US. Can I buy a Mac App Store or iTunes gift card in NZ and then ship it via airmail to the UK or US?

So can I?

Not sure about purchasing here in NZ and redeeming on the US store, but a card I purchased in the US could not be redeemed at the NZ store.

No. The cards are location specific.

Is there a way that I can go to the Apple store of that country and order one, and have it be sent to the winner?
