If I go to my local Best Buy, is there a way to tell if it's the newer model? Can't leave it up to the "blue shirts" to advise me. It's hard to even get help in the Apple section at our Best Buy.

It'll almost certainly be the new model, but it doesn't really matter. There were no major changes to it.
