Decided to dedicate a few days to make what I think would best suit the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5.

Model Specs:
- Height: 115.2mm
- Width: 61mm
- Depth: 6.83mm
- 3.89" screen (was going to go for 4", but it didnt feel as ergonomic)
- Ever so slightly wider and thinner than the iPhone 4. By around 2mm.
- I tried and tested many different sizes, and this one just looked right.

Tech specs (wishful thinking ;D)
- A5
- 1080p Rear Camera, 8mp
- 720p Front Camera, 5mp
- Front LED for Notification Center
- Capacative Home button (functions as regular home button in addition)

For the sake of convenience for most MacRumor users, I didnt auto show the pictures. Click to view ;)

Blender ? Not bad rendered; wish I could do that. Only on the last image the perspective on the upright device is off. Rest is nice

Google Sketchup pro 8xD
Rendered with the VRay for Sketchup plugin.

I know the perspective of the upright device is off. I couldnt find any way to use perspective to get all angles straight. Googe wouldnt let me.

I could have turned perspective off, but it just looked compleeeetely awful.

And thanks guys!

Im rendering an HD version of the 3D pic. Ill post it when its done!
(resolution is like 5,000 x 3,000 lol)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I generally hate threads like this and don't normally comment, but these renders are rather impressing.

Good job.

I personally LOVE seeing other people create concepts.

Ive seen every single one out there, I've yet to see something be considerably realistic and ergonomic in terms of what Apple would ACTUALLY release.

Id say mine takes the cake. Not because im being biased.. But because I've heard alot of peoples opinions, most are what I came up with.

Really good render actually, I wouldn't mind if the next iPhone I buy looked something like that, it looks pretty badass  :apple:

****.

Look at where its supposed to show the FCC label.

I screwed up. but im not rendering it again.. screw that! it took me about 30 mins per photo, an hour for the HD one. LOL

I wanna capture some more fluent angles though.. Any suggestions guys?

Unfortunately I don't think you can fit an 8mp rear and 5mp front camera and make it 2mm narrower than the current iPhone.

Very nice! Unless Apple dumps the external antenna, I think this look is a very good likelihood. I think the back won't be curved glass though (too much bad press) but some liquid metal or rock hard plastic.

The back in this concept is metal. Not glass ;)

After some hours of deep thought, I have come to the conclusion that for me the correct or at least best screen size will be 3.91" - and not 3.89" screen, as you seem to prefer. Perhaps you should re-think this point?

Looks Amazing. Simple changes make a huge impact. Not sure about the LED on the front though. You might have taken away my worries of curved glass and bigger screen away.

The LED notification light is the only thing I want. They could push out an iphone 4 with nothing changed but an added LED notifier and I would buy it. Not that I don't want all the other changes too but that would be huge.

I saw one on here that had the notification light around the home button...It was a glow ring like on an xBox...Looked great, and I think that would be a better concept and keep the clean look of the phone.

Impressive stuff. I got to thinking that a capacitive Home button would be triggered too easily by mistake so I don't know how that would work in real world settings, it'd be interesting to see that's for sure.

But I think we're all on the notification light boat.

Very impressive :D

If I were you, I would apply for a job at apple and attached these with your resume. I'm sure it would get noticed.

I like that one too. Pretty much I just want something I can see from across the room that lets me know I need to look at my phone. Otherwise I will be on my iPad or Macbook Pro.
