Hey,
There was a thread that semi-touched on this question, but it never got answered so I thought I would ask it here.

I am thinking of switching from an 11" to a 13" macbook air. If I cloned the hard drive from the 11 to the 13, would it be safe? Im wondering if the difference in hardware would matter at all?

(Note: I am completely aware of migration asst. and time machine; I would just like to know about this specific issue.)

Thanks!

It should be safe. Just clone the original 13" just in case if you need to restore and give it a try.

Ok, so I got the new 13" today. I booted my 13" from the external and cloned the external to the 13" No explosions. Works great. But...

The only thing I noticed though is that it seems to no longer have a recovery partition. If I CMD+R boot it, it goes straight to internet recover.

What is the easiest way to get it back?
