Lion wakes MBP over network for time machine?
I have a 2010 13" MBP, and since upgrading to lion whenever it is in sleep mode, I have noticed a strange thing happening:
Every hour, my time capsule wakes the MBP up to do a time machine backup. I know I can disable waking for network access, but is this intentional or is it a bug? By the very nature of being in sleep mode zero changes are made to my MacBook, so I can't see how it would be intentional that it is woken up twelve times throughout the night to perform a backup when the system has not even been used! Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone think why this might be a feature anyone would want, or should I just file a bug report? |
