Wow, that's the first time I've even seen a Lisa on eBay before.

Yeah, if you go to the vinatge Apple section, there are a lot of Lisa IIs most of the time. There are also a lot of overpriced Lisa parts and software all the time.

The Lisa Is with the twiggy drives, and any software on special twiggy disks go for a lot of money since twiggy never took off due to the advent of 3.5"

You can actually buy a Lisa II retail from Sun Remarketing for ~$600.

Speaking of old Mac stuff

I was looking at craigslist.org this weekend, and some1 in Cupertino Ca (home of apple) was giving away free Duo 230C powerbooks. By the time I got there none of the Duo's worked so i got a free black and white lcd Powerbook 175. I also got a box unopened System 7 software. the battery is dead, but plugged in it works great. I think I will be taking it to school and taking notes on it. perfect, and I dont have to subject my PB to the backpack. By the way, it also has this little strap to be used as a handle, very cool.

My god that is fine. I would love to have that. My closest item is an original Mac 128 that was the 1491st unit ever produced (or something like that -- I've got it on record somewhere, based on SN). Grabbed it for $125 a few months back. It's in the attic in a Mac-tote bag - no space for display...

I do have my Mac Plus out and use it every few days. Good stuff.

My finest new thing---basically all of 1985's Creative Computing magazine issues (adding to my most if 1983 and all of 1984 issues). That magazine was great. There'd be 4-5 different machines reviewed in each, every one with a proprietary OS of its own, generally. Quite a time, before the shake-out. Those magazines are incredibly nostalgic for me. I read every one back in '84-'85.
