Is there a blu-ray player out there that can beat the ATV2 for netflix and streaming?

While technically they do have streaming support, it's not as smooth, full featured or well integrated. So, if your needs are really basic its fine. But they don't compare at all to an ATV 2. I've got an up to date Vizio and its got all the basic features but it pretty much stinks compared to the ATV. It does, however, play Bluray's, which is what I wanted it for.

Maybe just me...I do not understand, where the set up with
over 40" 1080p monitor, and surround sound.
And watching DVD quality with stereo from net flix!??
I have both the oppo and ATV2. Apple tv is a nice device and better than roku as far as interface goes, but digital quality is about the same. However, neither can match the quality of blu ray. ATV fills the void for me when watching HD movies that aren't worth buying and for watching MLB. However, with a red box close by, renting blu rays for $1.50 gives ATV a run for their money in my house. ATV excels by offering MLB at a low price of $79 a year. They could excel even more if they streamed even more sports. Expand into college football, NFL and so on.

Playstation3 is by far the best blu-ray player out their and is now $250 for the 160gb version. Did I mention it supports 3d? I have an ATV2, Xbox360, and a PS3. I tried a higher end Samsung 3d blu-ray player (about $220) and it was a terrible experience for streaming Netflix. The interfaces on all blu-ray players I used are very slow.
PS3 is rumored to be the only hardware that currently streams Netflix in 1080p. There are no 1080p movies in iTunes, only 720p.
PS3 has Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu (which has 3d streaming), MLB.tv, NFL Sunday Ticket (in about a 1.5 weeks), NHL, and a bunch of other stuff.

Yes, the PS3 for an all in one product is the best buy. Just one component attached via HDMI. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone that route. I wish apple would get onboard with the NFL ticket. I'm sure that will come in time. The roku HD model can also stream 1080p and there are a few obscure channels that do. It's also capable of streaming netflix in 1080p. I have the the OPPO 83 which they do not make anymore. No streaming with that model. Still the best one out there for up converting DVDs and probably one of the best for SACD. Awesome blu ray too. OPPO is great at keeping their firmware up to date. I had one of those samsung players too. Bad, really bad.

My Sony Blu-ray player streams Netflix, Hulu 2, Quriosity and more. It's not tHe most elegant interface, but the streaming is flawless
As far as streaming your own media, one crutch that the PS3 has is G wireless and 10/100 ethernet instead of N and 10/100/1000. Doesn't matter for 90% of media, but I've noticed some stuttering for high bitrate videos.
Edit: It appears that the recent revision has gigabit ethernet, but still G wireless.
