Crucial or OWC?

Which one is better to get my RAM upgrade for my MBP?

Just pick the one with the better price, both are good quality RAM

I've used both brands and have had no issues with either

OWC is overpriced. Get whatever is cheapest on Newegg of a reputable brand (G.Skill, Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, etc)

This is also my recommendation. I'm happily running 2x4GB of G.Skill 1600.

Why would you pay more for a no-name company when top brands are cheaper? DMS wants $80 + shipping for 8GB of their house RAM while Newegg sells the 8GB Corsair kit for $39 AR. Newegg is still the best way to go, and their customer service is top notch.

Newegg isn't an option for me because they don't ship international and I'm not in the US.

I don't think you were comparing like products because we would never be that far off in price against newegg and OWC. Sorry, but unless I'm missing something...your statement is just not true. I even double-checked to make sure. Your prices are almost 40% more than Newegg.

Using a new MBP for reference, which uses 1600MHz DDR3 RAM:

Your unbranded "house RAM" prices:
8GB: $54
16GB (2x8GB): $108

Newegg:
8GB (Corsair): $39
8GB (G.Skill): $40
16GB (G.Skill 2x8GB): $79
