Have you tried checking the 'Manually manage music and videos' box in iTunes?

How to manually manage music and video on the iPhone4?

I need to manually manage it since it won't let me delete songs for some reason but when I try to apply, the following window pops up

Which is pretty absurd since I don't wanna sync anything and sure as hell not erase everything 😡 so how can I switch to manual?

A little help would be nice here, there has to be a way to manually manage music.
