Is Audigy NX any good ?

hi everyone,
anyone here using an audigy nx ? Just wondering if its a good buy and if it would work on mac. Any ideas for me to improve the sound quality? Anything else like it in the market? i switched from a pc with an audigy sound card and current sound from my mini is really dissapointing in comparison. Ive been lookin around other discussions. Pls dun recommend me some 1k++++ high end stuffss. wont be able to afford it...

Prebably under $500

I'm 99% sure that won't work in a Mac due to lack of drivers

What sort of improvement are you looking for? "Better" standard stereo sound? 5.1 output?

If you are looking for 5.1 then this will work fine. I believe it's available from the online Apple store as well.
