I've got a macbook air (early 2008) that is failing to boot. So I want to use my mbp (2011) running lion to share a Leopard disc so that I can boot from it and reinstall the OS on the air.
On the mbp with lion, I go to sys pref --> sharing and then click the dvd/cd sharing box. With my disc in the computer, nothing new happens. Restart, same result. In the finder, it lists the disc mac os x leopard but doesn't say remote disc or anything to that effect. The mb air is turned on while holding the option key, i then connect to the same wifi but nothing ever shows up as a remote dvd to even select. Any tips?? I'm stuck |
