I've been reading a lot of threads about people getting stuck with Lion and not being able to revert to SL. This isn't one of those, somehow I am dumb enough to be getting stuck on getting 10.6 to plain old boot into disk utility / OSX install from the SL disk 
I get my Remote Install started on the Desktop, get the Macbook to bring up the network boot screen, put in my WPA2 password and see the OSX install disk in my desktop on the MBA select screen, click it, then the MBA takes FOREVER on the Apple screen with a spinning globe underneath and the Remote Install software on the Desktop shows a "waiting" bar ... however then the MBA boots right back into the User selection menu like it was starting the OSX from its own SSD again and not the CD in the desktop!
I've tried resetting the MBA PRAM and made sure that the CD / DVD was shared on the Desktop, still no dice.
