Program to extract ipsw file.

Hi all, my transmac trial expired and theres no way im paying $48.00 for a license for a simple piece of software like that. Is there any other programs that extract ipsw file from the dmg file Apple uses? Please any help would be great!!!

Thank you all in advance!!!

Yeah but to get to the ipsw file you have to extract it from the dmg file...any solutions for that?

I tried downloading the file as a zip and I keep getting an error, I also just downloaded the dmg file and I am getting an error...mind you I am on a Windows Machine so that may be why your solutions arent working.

Is there anyone out there that knows a program to extract a ipsw file from a dmg file (other than TransMac, since my trial expired). It would be a great help, or point me to the way of the ipsw file for iPad 1 wifi+3G.

Thanks you in advance!!!

So wopetere I guess I am going to need a step by step because everything ive tried I can't get WinZip or WinRAR to open nor extract the ipsw file. So please help me out, I just want to get iOS 5 beta 7 on my iPad.

As a token of my appreciation if you're not already added to a dev. account i'll add you to mine.

Why don't you ask on the dev forums rather than here. IPSW is nothing more than a zip file so the file you have is likely corrupt. If you are not really a dev and simply bought an account to get the Beta, I would stop before you upgrade that device and make a mess of it. Beta is beta for a reason and you seem to be in over your head.

Shandyman is right, 7Zip will do it all: open the dmg, parse the disk image, and extract the ipsw. I've been using ios 5 beta since day 1 sourced from a Win7 box.
