For a rough idea of what you would pay for the same kit in the US? Sorry if it's confusing.

I don't understand the question.

All the dollar prices for everything are on Apple.com.

Although I did get a discount, due to having to send two back.....I hope this is third time lucky.....I thought the US prices were a lot lower than that. My cousins are always offering to buy me Apple stuff in the States and send it over, but it's grey import (and that's if it goes through customs) So I play the honest and safe way to make sure I'm covered.

Looking forward to testing the Thunderbolt kit which I added to the order last night....Going to be a bit broke for a while but hopefully happy

I'm glad I got a friend travelling to USA.

She bought me 4/128 11" vs 1140$ from Amazon.

If I would like to buy it via official resellers in Poland it would be about 1725$ including tax.

That's a heck of a good deal (Jealous) but we do pay more for stuff here in the UK....The price includes an £81.00 discount too.

Yes it truly is but I was a bit lucky, because before I ordered I met some guy who works for a dealer and he ordered it for me...

So thats no price you actually get without knowing someone.

That is a pretty good price by UK Standards. How did you get the discount of £81.12 as well?

Who works for and she also knows the head of sales in Europe. Like the post above, it's kind of handy to know someone. I also think that if you buy ALL your Apple kit from the telephone sales team you will often get a discount. My friend alway's discounts for me when she can

Its probably a wash. Even if you knew someone living in the US in a no sales tax state like Oregon to take delivery for you of whatever you ordered, you would have to pay the import duty to ship it back over there.

My MBA 13" ultimate (2010) was brought from Singapore by a family member (I ordered it through Apple Online Store Singapore) and it cost me about $2000.

Whereas, if I'd bought it in my home country (Latvia), it'd cost me $2600. Pretty much of a difference, huh? Saving $600 gave me an opportunity to buy an iPhone 4

hate European prices for Apple products.
