Hey all. I have a 12" iBook G4 1.33mhZ with 512mb of ram. I reinstalled Tiger on it, and afterwards the touchpad quit working. A USB mouse will work with it though. As we speak I am downloading all the updates, but we have slow internet at our house and it's going to take hours so I have a lot of time to worry about this. Will software updates fix this? I've looked in system preferenes and I can't see the trackpad. There is absolutely no damage to the laptop at all.

Have you checked the connection for the top case to the motherboard? Perhaps that came loose at the same time that Tiger was installed.

I checked. It was a disc of 10.4.0. I believe my iBook came with 10.4.3 so maybe that's what wrong. Anyways I'm downloading the 10.4.11 updates. Anyone else have any ideas?

Update: I went to a coffee shop for faster internet and the 10.4.11 update fixed it :)
